rainbow

it's my mother's birthday today; for once i was able to be in northumberland at about the right time, even if we didn't feel celebratory. now back in edinburgh with work to look forward to; back to normal while i'm surplus to requirements - S may not be entirely happy about taking the lead in getting things done, but she's damn good at it and if she was doing nothing she'd be thinking, and right now i don't think she wants to be thinking.

rainclouds suck, but sometimes you get rainbows too - can't have the bow without the rain. rent-a-cliche, that's me...
