Emergency flower blip...

... with a difference. These are brightly-coloured flower-shaped ceramic sinks in the ladies' loo in a new garden centre near Liverpool airport. Friend R and I went there for lunch to celebrate just earning £30 each for taking part in an NHS research survey on cervical cancer screening. My friend waxed so humorously lyrical about her experiences with various hospital procedures, that I can just imagine the nice lady researcher inviting friends round to listen to the tape over a few bottles of wine this evening. Sounds like a weird way to have fun, but it was an interesting way to spend an hour, and hopefully help a little in the development of a campaign to promote greater take-up of the free regular screening for the second worst form of cancer to kill women in the UK.
