My last blip was on August 13th taken in the village of Alvito in Italy. Since when Trotsky and I have spent six weeks at our house in Spain and are now on the long drive back to the UK. We have stopped off for a week in the Charente Maritime, renting a small gite which is delightful. No! This isn't it! This is the Chateau De La Roche Courbon about 10 kms from where we are staying. After a delicious lunch at a restaurant in St Porchaire we spent a couple of hours exploring the gardens of the chateau and joining a conducted tour of the house.
Tomorrow we will do some last minute shopping before heading for Calais and the tunnel on Sunday. Then it's back to Louth for the winter unless we get tempted to go elsewhere.
