On our way back to Spain via Italy. Spending a few days with our friend Paola in the small town of Alvito which is half way between Rome and Naples. Very much off the beaten track.
Today we were invited to lunch with Paola's parents. A typical Italian weekend lunch. Six courses, cheese and olives to start, then salad and proscuitio (ham) then lasagne, then veal and more salad, then cakes, then apricots in wine, and finally coffee!!!!!!

The blip is a view from Alvito.

This evening Trotsky has gone with friends to a wine festival in a nearby village. I'm having a quiet evening at our hotel still digesting our lunch.
