Ouch...

this is what happens when you land on your chin and break your jaw just behind the ear. The broken part of jaw cuts through the skin deep inside the ear and you bleed lots. The chances are you also fracture both elbows and break a bone in your ear on landing.
Never, ever ride a bike in the dark without a helmet and a decent set of lights.....my DS, Big Bro J, knows all too well now.
