Testing The Water

Literally with the test kit pictured. I am supposed to check weekly for PH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels. I did so today and all was well.

The Devil Fish has been residing in a yellow gorilla tub (the favourite of builders throughout the land) since he saw off the last of the little ghost koi. Today I thought I'd inspect him for obvious parasites and if he seemed clean put him in the barrel above the pond.

His scales and eyes etc looked fine under the magnifying glass so he's now in the barrel. I hope there's no infectious disease present though as the water is shared with the pond.
