Village

The photo is a portion of a print that I saw and liked at Microsoft where I went for a lecture by an amazing photographer, Chris Jordan. Mr Jordan's large scale works depict in a very design way mass consumption and waste. The pieces are epic in scale and made up of many photographs of the same elements that are digitally stitched together, often into a design that relates to the issue at hand. Look his work up!

In the lobby were other pieces, Microsoft has a huge art collection I understand, and these tiny colored boxes organized to represent a small cityscape spoke to my eye. Boxes and digital repetition are not that unrelated!
