Up, up and away

It was suprising what little distance these lanterns covered.

I don't usually agree with this type of thing, but on this occasion I was swayed. These were fully bio-degradeable. No wires, no nasty bits. And add to that the fact that they were lit on our land and came down on our land, mostly in our trees as it happened, despite how much we all willed them to go up, up and away.

It looked as though they would set fire to the trees that they got caught in. We did rather ignite quite a few lanterns - and we're talking double figures here. But nothing caught fire. Nothing at all. A few fingers were nearly lost in the process. Not mine though. I try not to play with fire!
