Kookaburra in the wind.....

It was very windy up our way this morning...I was out trying to make the garden slightly more presentable for our inspection on Monday.....the wind wasn't helping !!

I then spent some time watching one of our local Kookaburras balancing on this branch in the wind.....he was using his tail to balance and seemed perfectly comfortable up there, blowing in the breeze. They are my favourite Australian bird (other than Andrea!), they are so cheeky & have the best call ever !

So after all that we drove down to the airport to pick up Andrea's folks who are staying with us for the next two weeks.

We are back home now, had a dinner of slow cooked lamb shanks & some red wine....all is well with the world.....except thats the weekend over and its off to work at 5am tomorrow morning....bugger!
