Not Parallel Lines

We had a visitor today. The ever lovely AH from deepest Baden Wuerttemberg came for a flying visit and we packed a lot in.

Out for a little light lunch mit ein Glas Sekt, a walk round the Kurpark to see the parakeets (who obliged by being noisy and visible, they are magic birds).

Then we were off to the fabulous Caligari Cinema (it's all art deco style and it has a (shut) balcony (which is a shame)) to see Dhobi Ghat. Or Mumbai Diaries. Or Bombay Diaries. It had three different titles on screen at one point. Interesting film for me as the subtitles were in German and I coped remarkably well (I think). Good film - recommended.

And then we three went to dinner. The restaurant had changed a fair bit. before it was a sort all-things-to-all people sort of place (pizza/schnitzel/indian food) and now it's just Indian food. But it was full and we waited for a table. For about an hour. No long after came our starters. And then we waited properly. For about an hour and a half. Eating curry at half past ten is not a good idea. I don't think any of us slept particularly well.

Still, we had a lot of fun. The woman who was doing the classical Indian dancing was an interesting addition to the evening too.
