The Eagle
Time for a Seattle postcard shot. :-) On the way back from seeing a friend's art show at the Two Bell's Tavern, we stopped at the Seattle Art Museum outdoor sculpture garden, right on Puget sound. I've often thought of this shot with the space needle through Alexander Calder's Eagle, but usually the skies are all grey when I think about it and am close by. This afternoon it cleared up so I could see orange against it's complementary blue. It's a wonderful place to stroll - I used to have a studio on the next block, but that was when this space was full of toxic garbage waiting to be cleaned up. Too bad, I probably would have been out here everyday. I do wish there were more local artists represented. Also, I do love our space needle!
