Hitching Post

First noticed this dog hitching ring outside a newsagents in Crown area of Inverness a few days ago. Got a chance for a quick shot today through the car window whilst stopped at the lights. Made me think of all the cowboy films we used to watch where the saloon always had a hitching post for the horses. As it happens I don't have either a dog or a horse.
