Any ideas?

Nearly 18 months ago gemna brought back from her honeymoon in South Africa a large wooden giraffe for me. Several weeks later Smarts kept hearing a ticking noise and we noticed white sawdust/powder at the bottom of said giraffe. We sprayed him all over with industrial strength woodworm killer and the problem seemed to go away. However a few days ago we noticed fresh sawdust and today Smarts happened across this bug creeping right beside the giraffe. Anybody know what it is? You have to admire his tenacity for surviving 18 months living on sawdust....lets hope he didn't have a wife and family!!

We think he is a death watch beetle...eeeek!!
