The signs have appeared that precede another local harvesting season. One that will soon commence, and run until early December.

This also means my back-road cycle route will become more hazardous with lorries, over laden trailers towed by huge fast tractors, and plenty of mud and other debris.

Maybe I should take the longer low road route, for a couple of months...
