Sculpture Trail

Had a lazy start to the day. Packed up and headed out into the Forest. We decided to go round the Sculpture Trail in the Forest of Dean before going home - another 7 km walk.

Lots of unusual sculptures - some more interesting than others. This one was my favourite. It was called Echo and is a cast of the old quarry workings visible behind the sculpture. If you look carefully, you can see the matching shapes in the sculpture and in the rocks behind. The texture of the bark on the trees and roots was amazing.

Nice end to a long weekend away.
