Partisans!

I love the Partisan metro station, with its glorified, romanticised vision of resistance fighters, young and old, deep in German-occupied eastern Europe waging desperate guerrilla warfare against the invaders. (Let's leave aside that many partisans, especially in Ukraine, fought just as desperately against the Bolsheviks)

Even now they're keeping a watchful eye, stealthily concealing their 10-ft frames behind pillars.
