Poor little Blaze

Last winter, Blaze started limping and his paw started to swell up. Of we went to the out of hours vet ( these things never happen on a weekday) and was told that a minute piece of grit had entered his paw, which he had removed and charged us an absolutel fortune. Some 8 months on and this is now the 5 th time his paw has swollen in a similar way, each time a visit to vet, each time bandages that must be kept dry ( impossible in sunny Scotland). So after a night where my son was ill, been awake since 4am , when the electrican who was ment to come bit camcelled, what joy when Blaze limped from his bed with a foot that a golfer would of been proud to hit a ball of the first tee with. On further inspection there is a lump ( with yuky stuff) and on one of his toes a small hole which was bleeding , so after placing a sock on his foot, a trip to vet where he is now and I believe will be having foot lanced. The reason I am writing all this , is what else is there to do whilst waiting on your best friend hoping he will be alright.
