When I was 8, we went on a caravan holiday and toured round the West Country. It was a bit of a busman's holiday for my dad as he was managing a caravan park at the time!

Given dad's job, we couldn't actually go on holiday until the October half term - when it was freezing, wet and miserable! My brother and I discovered the I Spy books during that time, and made it our mission to try to get the all - which was a mission that was failed miserably.

When I first moved to Deal, I came across this plaque, and came across it today as I was walking through town. Quite nice that these two gents lived in the same house, albeit at different times.
