Not looking good apparently.
I took him to someone who cares for hedgehogs and she didn't think he was looking good, in fact I think she was in the process of writing him off. She thought he had died and said it would only have happened in the last few minutes and she said they stiffen up quite quickly.
He wasn't stiff though and I saw him open his eye a bit more than when she pulled it open. I mentioned what I'd seen.
She said she would put him on the hot water bottle which she then did. She had everything ready for him. He had pooed which you can see as he had obviously turned round at some stage with his head near to it.
I gave him water this morning by dabbing and dribbling some from a cotton wool ball dipped in water. He didn't seem to have gone to the saucer I'd left and I don't think he'd tried to eat any of the mealworms I'd put in there.
He was moving when I touched him at 10am this morning. I got him to the carer for 11:20. I kept him warm all night with a hot water bottle.
The carer said he probably had lung worm from eating snails as this happens a lot.
I hope he gives the carer hope to carry on looking after him. I don't want her to give up on him. It was a him by the way.
