Florentine Plate

In February 1999 we saw this wonderful plate in Florence in a store window (in the evening), and went back the next day to purchase it--the only object of anywhere near this size (17 inches/43 cm diameter) that we've ever schlepped back to the U.S. from Europe. We had to scrub it a fair bit to remove the grime from its stay in the window.
