Marsden Rock
Today I went out for a ride on my new fixed wheel bike, I think I was a little too ambitious at 52 miles after not having been on my bike since the beginning of September !
I decided that it would be a good idea to visit every Lighthouse between the River Wear and the River Blyth. My intentions were to photograph each one. It was a twenty one mile bike ride to my first Lighthouse, Roker.
The gates to the pier were locked as were the gates to South and North Shields Pier, I tried taking photographs but the wide angle lens of my camera didn't do them justice.
I still visited each one.
The downside today was that I lost my cycling glasses which blew from my helmet in the river Tyne as I crossed on the ferry, £80 lost to the murky waters, ;-((
Todays blip is on the beach at Marsden, I had to climb down some very steep steps to get to this location, it is a sea srack and was an arch see here but in 1996 storms and rough seas turned it into how it looks today.
I'm now knackered, legs like jelly and starving.
