Tree Falling Day

Today was the day we took down a huge tree that was too big and hanging over the house! It is always a sad day when a tree is killed, even though we've planted many more than we have removed! It was fascinating to watch an expert fell a tree with no damage to shrubs, house, or the friendly mallard ducks that hovered below. Our tree trimmer was a young buff fellow, who was a pleasure to photograph...of course I promised to send him photos, and he was delighted ;)
