The Black Hand Gang!
I was rushed to Hospital yet again yesterday and spent the night there whilst they tried to calm the raging palpitations I was experiencing. It took a long time and many injections, blood sucking, and drips later for the heart to beat at the normal rate. Official diagnosis of 'Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillations' resulted in the commencement of Beta Blockers and Aspirin daily and I was allowed home.
How I'm looking forward to a long sleep in my own bed after a most interesting night! The fire alarm went off twice, the lady in the next bed to me went on the rampage and 'collected' numerous items of clothing ( a pair of men's underpants was found in her locker this morning!) She suffers from Dementia and kept asking if this was a Hospital and then directed different patients to different beds- only to be moved to a different Ward at 5a.m. My Monitor 'bleeped' all night and I think I finally had about two hours sleep.
The swelling on my hand has just started to subside but the colour is amazing. I'm not complaining about the NHS, you understand. I actually had wonderful attention. I'm just upset that my planned week in Northumbria has had to be cancelled on Dr's advice and I'll have to settle for a quiet week knitting, reading and watching TV. Shame.
