DARWIN'S PLACE
Came upon a list of the buildings awarded a Blue Plaque in Ilkley today so thought I'd try to link the next few days Blips by featuring some, if not all of them around the town, those local probably know a lot more than this import from the South about the history of the town and to them I apologies, those who don't know about this wonderful area might find things of some interest such as the imposing building featured above, Hillside Court, Ilkley, formerly North View Terrace, the building in which Charles Darwin was staying when 'Origin of Species' was published in November, 1859.
No history lessons but here's something that might amuse:
