Porina Moth

Possibly one of the many native owlet moths, but I really don't know. I love its luxurious fur coat.

Another drab day.

Edit: Thanks to the help of la55e and mollyblobs's husband, Pete, I have been able to identify the moth as Wiseana cervinata, a porina moth. The larvae of these moths live in the soil and come up at night to feed on grass roots. They cause extensive damage to pasture and lawns.
