Bikes in Paris
Being a bit of a cycling bore, this row of bikes caught my attention in Paris.
They are the Parisian equivalent of the Boris bikes in London - Vélib - and can be hired for 1.7 euros a day. Not bad.
Only about two blocks away is l'Arc de Triomphe, which has to be the most insane traffic intersection I've ever seen in my life, so maybe that explains why this rank of cycles had very few customers. Who on earth would cycle around this part of town?!
I love Paris, but I think I'll stick to cycling amidst the relative calm of Edinburgh.
