Arrived in Bangkok today where I am going to spend the next week working (after surprisingly pleasant 10 hours of Economy class flying). The northern part of the city has already been hit badly by the recent flooding, but no signs of mayhem in the center. The locals here are nevertheless bracing themselves for the rising water levels as more rain has been forecast for today and tomorrow.

Spent the afternoon drinking beer and reading about Thailand on the balcony of my room at my hotel near the Chao Phraya river which runs though the city.
