Little Patch
This little pumpkin patch display was outside a shop in a local outdoor mall.
Pumpkins are grown and available here but it's just not the same as when I lived in the northeast and enjoying the colors, smells and sounds of Autumn. I just can't picture myself buying a pumpkin and carving a jack-0-lantern as I would have had I still lived in a place that was deciduous.
I did think this little patch on the cart was pretty with the flowers laid upon it. It does get people in a little bit of the spirit, I suppose.
It's hard to think of Autumn when you're setting new record highs, like yesterday's 99F. It's going to be hot today, too. Ten degrees above average. Time for the weather gods to give us and out power bills a break.
I've been very tired lately, sleeping over ten hours a day, so I've really fallen sorely behind in my commenting. I've been trying to catch up but it's been going slowly. I'm going to get there eventually.
