Splish Splash of Color
A bit of color on a Monday morning to lift our spirits!
I've had my eye on these lovelies for months in my next door neighbor's yard and thought I might scoot over there before they disappear on me. They've been there all summer.
I do hope that Frank and Elaine didn't think I was skulking around peeping into their windows or anything at 7 am! I'm really not a creepy person.
I love yellow flowers. Any kind of yellow flowers. I think it started when I was a small child with buttercups. From buttercups to yellow roses...and everything in between...all beautiful to me.
I got "taken" by a plumber on Saturday and conned into a large job that was very expensive. Fortunately, I paid by credit card and was able to stop payment on it before they opened today because my bank is on the east coast and they opened three hours earlier than here.
I had a local company come out first thing today and they went through the house. Turned out I only need a fraction of the work done at a fraction of the price. Some of these companies come in with cold calls to do free inspections then find all sorts of things wrong and scare you into big package repairs before you have time to shop around for other prices.
I knew I got conned the minute he walked out the door. How foolish we can be when we start to get older. There are more predators out there now than ever before. I am such an easy target.
The weather is starting to moderate a little and we're headed closer to the average. It's predicted to be close to only 93F today. Slight breeze, all sunshine. Gorgeous southern Arizona day.
