Ticking Away the Moments

Always helps if you switch it on....

The slow cooker has come out from the back of the cupboard again and on Saturday morning, Gary prepared diced pork with peppers and onions in a sweet & sour sauce, ready to go on before we left to watch Worcester play rugby.

The idea was to have a lovely cooked tea ready for when we got home - which would have been great if either of us had remembered to switch it on before we left!

It wasn't until we got to Sixways that I asked Gary if he'd switched it on as I knew I hadn't. So it was a trip to Tesco on the way home for an emergency tea.

Never mind, we thought, we can have it for lunch on Sunday. Decided to go to Stratford on Avon on the spur of the moment this morning after the rugby and again, remembered when we got into town that we still hadn't switched it on.

Luckily though, I did remember when we got home about 2pm so we've just eaten the most delicious meal - sweet & sour pork with noodles and stir-fried veg in an oyster sauce. Yummy!
