Yes this proves the Bartailed Godwits are back - and if they want to - the Morris Dancers can come out and do a jig for their arrival - Seems to me that would be better than doing it when they leave. Each to their own ?

One thing that stumped early Maori was - where the birds were during the winter - we now know they travel to Siberia !!
