The First

Today is the first day of the season we have started the fire. The log burning stove needed a good fire before the season got really under way.

If we are honest - that is just an excuse. It wasn't actually cold in the living room. We could have just put on a jumper to successfully ignore the draft.

But hey - everyone loves a fire. A glass of pino. The TV switched off. The only sounds are the tap on the keyboard and the click click creak creak as the iron of the stove expands.

Looking forward to snow - a Christmas tree, and a glass of baileys.
