The Impotent Fury Of The Privileged

The world is a saddening mess, of unfathomable complexity and the simplest cruelty. and yet, rather than raging or weeping, most of us still manage to eat snacks, do crosswords and occaisonally wash. But what if, what if we heave our compassion from wherever its buried and with courage enough to seem naïve or underinformed or oblivious to futility, we reach for something better. Something more engaged, more humane and less snack based.

An angry, frustrated and beautiul new show about wanting the world to change but not doing enough to change it.

A night out in Bracknell (or "Brackers" as he called it), seeing Daniel Kitson perform. One of the best comedic performances I've seen - not traditional "stand up" - just a brilliantly written and conceived piece, delivered non stop for nearly 2 hours, on the world and our interaction with it. Much needed laughs. The second time we've seen him. Genius. (His podcasts are highly recommended)

And to top it all off, Lenny Henry and Dawn French sat in front of us just to add that surreal note to the evening's proceedings. A good laugh they had too before retiring to the Bracknell Premier Travel Inn (possibly...).
