Pickled onions.

It's that time of year again.
The house has the "wonderful" aroma of onions!!
These should be ready for Christmas.

Most of you will be too young to remember the TV series "Nearest and Dearest". (1968 - 1973)
It was about a sister and brother who inherited their fathers's pickle factory when he died.
Pledge's Purer Pickles.
Set in Colne Lancashire it starred Hilda Baker as Nellie Pledge and Jimmy Jewel as her brother Eli.
