La Grande theatre, Bordeaux

I've not had time to blip for weeks, but here are a few images from a lecture tour I have just done of France. I have a strange job as an animator. I may be utterly broke, but I get to go to some amazing places and meet great people. On this day I flew to Paris and then took the TGV to Bordeaux, where the organisers of the trip knew of my passion for theatres. They had organised a private backstage trip of the astonishing La Grande Theatre where ballet and opera is performed. We went below the stage and I marvelled at the old stage machinery. This image is looking up the inside of the square dome that dominates the building.
