Mushrooms

After we had our backyard tree cut down last week, I noticed how many of the other plants in the area had suffered from lack of sunlight!

Then I discovered an amazing crop of mushrooms under one of the bushes...they had thrived ;).

I have never taken photos of mushrooms so I've been enjoying the process of taking photos of a ground object!! I found that using the flash was the best way to illuminate the underside gills...and using the macro setting really gives you amazing closeups of the details!! Note the piece of wood chip hanging from the one mushroom!
