Escorted

I had a meeting today with two delightful people; and in order to meet them I had to wear this badge.

There's something lovely about the word 'escorted'. Oh, there's the rather uncomfortable connotation of being 'escorted off the premises', but generally I think it's a lovely idea. Being accompanied, taken care of, not left alone. Maybe I'm mixing it up with the man who was escorting me today, but there's something chivalrous about it.

Everything that, as an independent woman I should rail against.

But actually it's kinda nice.
