New York! New York!
Las Vegas Day 6
Opened the curtains and guess what - clear blue skies again, with oodles of sunshine :))
Another start to the day at Denny's - we find if we eat here, we don't (can't) eat again until the evening!
Had a lazy day at the pool today after the excitement of the helicopter trip yesterday while the boys went guitar sampling. The up-side was that they found a lovely quaint shopping "centre" which we then visited in the evening for a meal.
We had a quick shop around and then we headed back onto the Strip for a tour of some of the hotels we hadn't yet visited. Disappointed that the MGM lions had gone to bed - early bedders at 7pm. We were left looking at the lady cleaning the enclosure! Amazing that lions like casinos!?
We also had a venture to the minus 5 Ice Bar. We didn't find it too cold though, unlike some of the Americans! It was a bit like popping out to the bin in Scotland in winter. We are hardy animals, although we did need the parkas, UGG boots and gloves to hold the glasses made out of ice! Another Las Vegas experience notched up!!
We ended up at the Mandalay Bay listening to a fabulous band playing - very entertaining.
A late night though - 2am. Us 40 somethings can still party on ....... ok I know that's not that late for Vegas, but it was for us!
