The Grand Canyon

Las Vegas Day 5

Epic day today.

Lunch at the Grand Canyon - decided to take the helicopter for a spin today - not only valet parking, but personal helicopter pilot!

Fantastic experience being in the helicopter and what stunning scenery to fly over. Stopped off next to part of the Colorado River and had a champagne lunch! Also enjoyed flying over Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam too.

K and I had some more pool time on our return and then I chummed along with the boys for a visit to the Cheesecake Factory for a piece of cheesecake. This was really to die for. Note to self....... must visit again.

At night, we decided to hit old Las Vegas and visit Fremont Street. What a laugh that was! Can only be described as "an experience".

Food was served at the Heart Attack Grill l - a hospital themed restaurant. We were dressed in hospital gowns and attended to by our own personal nurse! K and I managed to get a photo with Dr Jon, but alas, the surgeon had gone off his shift by the time we had finished our "single bypass" burger. Great concept!

The other fantastic thing about Fremont Street (and there are many things) was the flume in one of the hotels which went through the shark tank which was surrounded by a pool and blackjack tables. However, the 460m long canopy video screen is truly amazing and I loved the on the hours music videos of "American Pie" and a Queen compilation. There was just so much to see and many sights we're also not used to seeing!!!

Phew - another full and fantastic day.
