Luik/Liège Day 1

Our collective memory says industrie, blackness and sadness, when we think of the Belgian city Liège (Luik in Dutch). But once you get past the shell, which indeed involves smoking chimneys, an interesting, vivid, historic city emerges.

The first day involved exploring the city, inclusing the occasional cathedral.
