Perfume

Cut-glass bottle,
So full of perfume.
So fragrant is your contents,
Right from the bloom.

Sweet to my nostrils,
Is the smell that drifts down.
And settles so softly,
Upon my silk gown.

Scents from the flowers,
I tip to my nose.
So softly...so softly,
T'is the same as the rose.

Strong on the air,
I smell it again.
This perfume...so lovely,
This captor of men.

O little cut-glass bottle,
With spires to entomb.
You give of your fragrance,
Right from the bloom.
