Morning Sun
It's the morning after the day before and the rain has stopped at last giving us beautiful sunshine at least for the moment. Unfortunately a young policeman was drowned last night when he was swept off a bridge about 50 miles from here. Poor guy. All he was trying to do was to stop motorists from driving into danger. Then the bad news came through a few minutes ago to say that the body of a young woman has been found by firemen who were pumping out a flooded basement in Dublin. Seems she was trapped inside as the waters rose. Shudders!!!
We ended up with a month's supply of rainwater in the one day. Now that's a lot of rain even by Irish standards.
Right now I have Wesley, the Polish plumber here working like a beaver, installing an extra radiator to the central heating and fixing a dripping tap. He's off to the supply shop right now to exchange two items they sold him this morning and which were different fittings from what he needed.
Back later guys!
