Morning Visitor
At the outset may I just thank you all for the wonderful feedback and all the favourites for my rain sodden shot from Monday. Much to my surprise it has gathered more red hearts than any photo I have ever posted in Blipland. Thanks all!
The Polish Plumber spent the entire day here yesterday and guess what? Yes! He's back again this morning. He fixed the dripping tap in 10 minutes flat. Great! The matter of installing a new radiator in the conservatory however was more convoluted. In it went according to plan. He then spent 3 hours trying to bleed the system, rapidly tearing his hair out and muttering strange Polish phrases which sounded to me very much like swearings and curses. Total failure. He eventually ascended into the attic to discover that the genius who installed the system in the first place had done the usual botch job and left the system in such a state that once drained it was impossible to re fill and bleed properly. He came back this morning at 9am armed with a handful of new valves. Great? No, bad. They were the wrong fittings. He is back now with the right ones and is presently back in the attic probably knocking about my collection of ancient cameras but hopefully fixing the problem. Any minute he will call me for the millionth time to show me something I don't understand anyway and I will nod sagely and send him back to his labours. I live in hope!!
This has been a dreadful year for butterflies. I can only put it down to the freezing conditions last winter which more than likely killed them all off. Imagine my surprise when I went out to see what was happening with the final touches to the boiler, to see this fellow warming up on the bark of one of our birches. Blip!!! Shot done. Now the plumber can disturb me all he likes for the rest of the day............... More news tomorrow when I trust I will be warm and cosy once again.
Ps. Kindly disredard any spelling mistakes. Typed in a big hurry in case he calls again. O.M.G. Just heard a big bang from up above. Here we go again....
