Water is Life
Today I got to visit Gesam School. I first was first there last November. I remember a moment when I looked up and saw the one toilet (aka a hole in the ground) for all 450 people and I saw a student using the bathroom on the ground right in front of me. Then I looked over at the dirty, disease filled water they were drinking. I knew we had to do something, so I shared this information with my school and then they raised the money to dig the well. Today I got to see how that money has made a difference.
It was such a beautiful thing. The clean water brings fewer diseases, more time at school, a chance to have bathrooms, better sanitation, and the list could go on and on. Water changes everything.
The student performed skits, songs, and poems for us to show their appreciation. I was overwhelmed with joy seeing these beautiful children sing and perform. I feel so blessed the Lord let me be a small part of the story at Gesam School.
