The Point

First day of half term today and we went to the cinema to see The Smurfs.
This is The Point. I believe it was the first multi- screen cinema in the UK (although I may have to check that). It used to be a real beauty of a building, a pyramid all lit up in red neon lights, you could see it from miles away. Since the new cinema opened less than half a mile away The Point has been left to ruin. The cinema itself inside is still there but all the amusments and the bar/restaurant has all been shut down or sold off. All the red bulbs are missing or broken from the pyramid and it is generally in a really bad state. Such a shame, I hope they restore it back to its former beauty some day
