Big Day

Today we signed the contract with the builders. Hooray! Sod-turning Day is the 7th November and we couldn't be more pleased. To celebrate we picked up Lizzie's mum and headed for the coast and La Ferme Marine, a restaurant between Marseillan and Meze. Just fabulous. A huge buffet of shellfish to begin and then a little fishy on a dishy for me and huge prawns for the Gosling girls. We all agreed it was the best seafood we've ever eaten here in the beautiful South.

Behind the diners you can see the big blue - the Bassin de Thau full of oyster beds. The crane-like structures are the engines they use to haul the catch up to the little factories behind the restaurants.

P.S. Normal service resumed as far as the weather goes. Poor us!
