Am I worthy?

Wow! Dinner tonight at Michel Sarran's 2 star restaurant in Toulouse. Yes, I know!!! We should be so lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky. We had the set "saveurs" menu. Foie gras in an oyster bouillon - magnificent. A fillet of rouget between 2 wafers with fennel braised with anchovies, a saffron mouse in a "parfum" of bouillabaise - possibly the best dish in the history of the world. Then a nest of kadaif spun around a rose pigeon breast on a jus of squid ink. Alongside a ragout (more like a foam) of petits pois and the pigeon liver and lights in a tiny croquette - perfectly cooked, tasty to a "t" and light as a feather. Then delicious cheeses from the 'hood. Then, get this, a pudding based around that sublime fruit, the tomato. "Dans une tomate confite a la pulpe d'un fraise du bois, creme glacee basillic, un gratin de chiboust au miel. da dah! A lovely, friendly restaurant with tremendous service, great lightin g and food secon to none. Why wouldn't we worship???

Oh, what a night ......
