Very late crimson Snapdragon.
Fellow blippers, forgive me for the paucity of my contributions, and comments. This is because I am working semi shifts. I don't have to work after 9pm, but given the short days and the strange weather, and the poorly hip joint, I have not been taking advantage of my new instument of capture.
The folk on blip are some of the best people you could meet. There is such a wealth of knowledge at the fingertips of these worthy people, which reinforces my belief, that every learning experience is to be treasured.
I spotted this specimen on Sunday, after a rather extended family lunch. 10 to feed, and extra potatoes were needed and prepared. We only eat two sorts of beef, brisket and rib. Regretably, I can't afford rib at the minute, so slow cooked, pot roast brisket obliged. There of course, is an element of toothpick type use,but accompanied with Lancashire/Yorkshire puddings, and some roast potatoes in beef dripping, there was very little pickings for the animals. We saw them all off, and when waving off number 3 son, spotted this beautiful crimson Snapdragon growing at the foot of the Privet hedge. I received some seeds from one of my well wishing neighbours, and sacttered them when we had to viciously trim the hedge in preparation of some work to be carried out on the footpath. This is a bonus flower for me, and helps to lift my autumnal blues.
