Dalton

We've had a bit of a dip in guests mid-week, so managed to escape for a family afternoon out to Dalton wildlife park and Bardsea beach. Strangest thing I saw was a tiger eating a whole chicken carcass only to see an egg pop out of the chicken (and be quickly gobbled up by the tiger). The randy giraffes were also quite a sight to behold.

I think running a guest house will see us doing lots of beach trips out of season - it was flipping freezing at Bardsea, but the kids still enjoyed collecting rocks, throwing them in pools, visiting the hardy ice cream van and then piling back into a toasty warm car with red noses and sandy wellies. AND there were no crowds :)
