Waffley good time...
I had a lunchtime catch-up with my friend and colleague Inez today at the rather splendid Moose Coffee.
There used to be a branch of Moose only a few minutes away from home and it was my 'go to' place for Sunday brunch if I was feeling in need of a treat or had friends or family staying. Sadly, it's no longer there but, as if to compensate, a branch has opened up just a short stroll from the office. They do several fabulous choices of breakfast (with plenty of veggie options) as well as waffles, pancakes and specials.
Today's specials were Mexican Burger (with salsa, guacamole and side salad - yours for £6.95) or Hash Benedict (potato cake with poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce - a snip at £5.95). Despite being from Holland, the camera-shy Inez (who vacated her seat as soon as she spotted my camera...) eschewed the Hollandaise in favour of blueberry pancakes with maple syrup. I'd brought my own lunch into work so I just settled for hot chocolate with soya milk! There was much waffle talked although none was eaten.
I'm off to Cumbria tomorrow for the weekend so will post blips if I can but may have to backblip when I get home. Comments may also be a bit thin on the ground for a couple of days... Have a great weekend everyone whatever you're up to!
